1. Jewellery Material Guarantee
RingItOn guarantees that the precious metals used in jewellery supplied by us match the stated specifications.
- Platinum jewellery supplied as PT950 contains approximately 95% pure platinum
- 18ct gold contains approximately 75% pure gold
- 9ct gold contains approximately 37.5% pure gold
We also guarantee that diamonds and gemstones supplied by RingItOn are accurately represented according to their stated grading or specification.
If a verified discrepancy is identified, RingItOn may repair, replace or refund the affected item at our discretion.
2. Manufacturing Warranty
RingItOn provides warranty coverage against genuine manufacturing defects in jewellery produced by us.
Examples may include:
- Structural manufacturing faults
- Manufacturing-related setting failures
- Incorrect assembly caused during production
- Confirmed production defects outside normal wear
Jewellery is delicate by nature. Fine jewellery is not indestructible and should be treated with reasonable care during wear and handling.
3. What Is Not Covered
Warranty coverage does not include damage caused by normal wear, accidents or external factors.
This includes:
- Scratches, dents or surface wear
- Impact damage or accidental bending
- Broken chains caused by pulling or snagging
- Chemical exposure
- Damage caused by improper handling
- Loss of stones caused by impact or wear over time
- Wear to claws, settings or plating through daily use
- Damage caused by sports, heavy work or improper storage
Jewellery naturally experiences wear over time, particularly rings and frequently worn pieces.
4. Loose Stones & Setting Inspection
Customers should inspect jewellery upon receiving it.
If you notice loose claws, loose stones or unusual movement within the first 7 days after delivery, please contact RingItOn promptly.
Continuing to wear jewellery with loose settings may increase the risk of stone loss or further damage.
5. Third-Party Modifications
Any modification, repair, resizing or work carried out by a third party may void the RingItOn warranty.
This includes:
- Resizing performed elsewhere
- Stone resetting by another jeweller
- Alterations or structural modification
- Replating or refinishing performed externally
Because jewellery work performed by others can affect structure and integrity, RingItOn cannot guarantee items after third-party intervention.
6. Refurbishment & Jewellery Refresh Services
RingItOn also offers refurbishment and aftercare services for jewellery made by us.
Depending on the piece and condition, refurbishment services may include:
- Professional cleaning
- Polishing and refinishing
- Rhodium plating for white gold
- Setting inspection
- Minor repairs
- Re-tipping worn claws
- General restoration work
Refurbishment pricing varies depending on the condition of the jewellery and the work required.
Basic refurbishment services may start from approximately AUD $25.
7. Precious Metal Wear
All precious metals wear gradually over time through everyday use.
Some metals may scratch more easily, while plated finishes such as white gold rhodium plating naturally wear and may require maintenance over time.
This natural wear process is not considered a manufacturing defect.
8. Stone Variation & Natural Materials
Natural gemstones may contain inclusions, colour variation or internal characteristics unique to each stone.
These natural characteristics are not considered faults unless specifically misrepresented.
Lab-grown stones may also vary slightly in appearance, growth pattern or optical behaviour.
9. Warranty Assessment
RingItOn may require returned inspection of an item before determining warranty eligibility.
Assessment may include examination of:
- Wear patterns
- Impact signs
- Structural condition
- Third-party modification evidence
- Manufacturing condition
Warranty outcomes may include repair, partial repair contribution, replacement or refusal where damage falls outside warranty coverage.
10. Australian Consumer Law
This warranty operates alongside rights provided under Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this policy excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Contact For Warranty & Repairs
If you believe your jewellery may require warranty assessment, repair or refurbishment, please contact RingItOn through the contact details provided on the website.
Providing clear photos and a description of the issue may help speed up the assessment process.
Jewellery is made to be part of life.
Fine jewellery changes over time through wear, memory and use. RingItOn aims to support both the making of the piece and the care of it afterwards.
